Kenneth A. Lazarus

Kenneth Lazarus represents clients before the District of Columbia courts, federal and state courts across the country and in the context of federal regulatory and congressional investigations.
In private practice since 1977, Mr. Lazarus has a substantial background in complex civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad range of matters including, for example, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, RICO, tax matters, professional liability, fraud, bankruptcy, health care, and antitrust work. His federal regulatory experience includes the representation of companies caught up in major investigations conducted by the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Federal Trade Commission.
Mr. Lazarus graduated from Notre Dame Law School in 1967 and began his career as a Trial Attorney and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice. Thereafter, he served as Associate Counsel, then Chief Counsel to Republicans on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and, later, as Associate Counsel to the President of the United States (Gerald R. Ford). Following his government service, Mr. Lazarus was a partner at Bierbower and Rockefeller and, later, at Ward Lazarus Grow & Cihlar, both of Washington, D.C. Since 1991, he has practiced with Lazarus & Associates.
